Patty Marriott

Patty Marriott oversees the developing Author Services department. A student at American University, she took classes from Larry McMurtry (where her class listened in on the editing process of Moving On), and Ben Stein in the most popular of all campus classes, “Film and Social Revolution,” learning to recognize fine writing, important films and winning and enduring characters.

Patty spent more than a decade as a corporate meeting planner with a division of Pepsi-Co developing and delivering successful theme driven events and corporate meetings. Most recently, working for a speakers bureau, she came to recognize the lack of an advocate for the successful writer in the public speaking arena and is passionate to create a demand for the author beyond the printed page.
